'Plan of the Tay fron Stormontfield (above Perth) to the German Ocean'. By John Bell [1:43,500] 1 in = 5.5 furlongs 117 x 50 cm Engraved plan of the River Tay showing islands, sandbanks and depths of channels. Tributaries, stake nets, ford, bridge, walk mill, neap tide mark above Perth, farms, and towns noted. Coloured to show extent of foreshore owned by individual estates; proprietors named.. Sections across river and along its length showing depths of water at various tides. Attached statistics on tides and width of river. Explanation of net and coble fishing, foot net fishing and pot net fishing with extent of usage on Tay. Parts of city of Dundee; Liff and Benvie, Monifieth and Panbride parishes, Angus; Abdie, Bakmerino, Dunbog, Ferry-Port-on-Craig, Flisk, Forgan and Newburgh parishes, Fife; Errol, Inchture, Kinfauns, Kinnoul, Longforgan, Perth, Redgorton, Rhynd, St Madoes, Scone and Tibbermore parishes.
