A church was opened in the district of Aberdeen Rosemount in 1877, which became the parish church of Rosemount when the charge was disjoined from St Machar's and erected quoad sacra. In 1990 a union was established between Aberdeen Rosemount and Aberdeen Rutherford, with the charge continuing under the name of Rosemount after the union. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Aberdeen. Aberdeen Rosemount was dissolved on 15 May 2006.
