Contract between Cuthbert Earl of Glencairn and William Master of Glencairn, his son and apparent heir, on the one part, and Dame Isobel Wallace, Lady of Easter Loudon and Hugh Campbell, her son, sheriff of Ayr, on the other part: Whereby the Earl and Master of Glencairn for the favour which they have to the heirs of umquhile John Campbell of Wester Loudoun, oblige them to obtain a dispensation to umquhile James Campbell of Wester Loudon and Janet Cunningham, dispensing with their consanguinity, and that because the said Dame Isobel Wallace, and Hugh Campbell, her son, have taken part with the said heirs in the plea of bastardy moved by John Lord Cathcart against them. Witnesses, John Hamilton of Colmskeith, William Barclay of Pierston and Mr Christopher Boyd vicar of Dalry. At Kilmarnock. John Cunningham of Caprington is one of the cautioners. The lands of Corsbie and Manock mentioned as held by James Craufurd of Auchenamas of the Laird of West Loudon, and Margaret, daughter of umquhile Robert, son and heir of said James Craufurd, is mentioned.
