(1) 7 May 1527. Instrument narrating that Elizabeth Hammyltoune, countess of Lenax, resigned in favour of Isabella Stewart, countess of Lenax, younger, all fruits and emoluments of parts of lands of Baldinhecht and Glanderstoun in lordship of Dernle, for 1 year, saying `I will gyff hyr this of my awne fre will nocht choaktit nor constrenyit be na man for ane yere and fardar indurand my wil of hyr guid bering'. `Lennox Charters' no.139.
(2) ?3 Sept. 1527. Letters by officials of Glasgow, charging the unknown persons who stole various charters relating to chaplainry of Galstoun and Dernly Chapel from Elizabeth Hammyltoun, countess of Levenax, having custody and guardianship of Matthew, earl of Levenax, lord Dernle, to return them within six days, under pain of greater excommunication.
