'Plan of Elden Colliery'. Surveyor: [John] Grieve. Copied by George E. Frere, apprentice to [William] Bald. [1:2400] 1 inch = 3 [Imperial] chains; [1:2880] 1 inch = 80 yards. 944 mm x 979 mm. Photoreproduction.
Plan of Elden Colliery showing locations of pits, names and locations of coal seams, and locations of several trial pits. Land ownership noted. Erased elements of plan are faintly visible, including 'File No. 3. Plan No. 16'. 'Journal of Pendrich Coal' includes measurements to various features in fams, feet, and inches. 'Observations' includes notes on trial pits A to E, including features, dates, and notes. Compas rose. Scales given. |
