Description |
'Plan of the Coal Field in the Barony of Pendrich belonging to John Clerk Esq[uire], O.E. Eldin. Nov[embe]r 1806'. Unattributed. [1:2700] 1 inch = 3 [Scots] chains. 945mm x 905mm. Photoreproduction. Annotation in pencil is present.
Plan of the Coal Field and surroundinng area at Eldin, showing Middle Mill, Lasswade, Eldin, Greenfoot, Pendrich, Viewfield, and Harding Green. Levels of seams, locations of quarries, bores labelled A to E, are noted. 'Explanation' includes measurements of various seams in acres, roods, and falls. Land ownership noted. Erased elements of plan are visible, including notes on the Pendrick Park, Graham's Park, and location of a railway near Harding Green. Compas rose. Explanation given.
