The projected railways are the: Aberdeen; Clydesdale Junction; Dundee and Perth; Edinburgh and Dalkeith (re improvements); Edinburgh and Glasgow (Stirling branch); Edinburgh and Hawick; Edinburgh and Northern; Glasgow Ayr and Cumnock; Glasgow Barrhead and Neilston; Glasgow Dumbarton and Loch Lommond; Glasgow Dumfries and Carlisle; Scottish Central; and Scottish Midland Junction.
Minor schemes referred to as too small for delineation are the: Glasgow Harbour Union; Glasgow Junction; and Pollock and Govan Branch Junction lines.
