Description |
'Plan of Tyndrom Lead Vein'. By John Grieve, Borrowstounness, surveyor. [1:3600] 1 inch = 4 Scots chains. 609 x 490 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief shown in grey wash. Linen backing. Plan of Tyndrum (Tyndrom) lead mines showing location of veins of lead, with endorsed report concerning value and quantity of lead extracted since 1741. Mine Hill, Ben Beg, Ben Our, Mealbowie Hill, Auchinturin Burn, road from Stirling, road to Inveraray, road to Fort William shown. Houses, inn and storehouse noted. |
