Description |
'Plan of the estate of Boghead belonging to Thos. [Thomas] Durham Weir Esqr. 1828.' By A. Thornton, surveyor.
[1:1800] 1 inch = 2 Scots chains. 1170 x 1450 mm, on sheet 1190 x 1450 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into 2 sheets. Linen backing.
Estate plan coloured to show farm and field boundaries and plantations. Field acreages given. Elevation of Bog Head House, with plan of parks and gardens. Steadings noted. Names of adjacent lands. Table of contents for East Fallside, West Fallside, Loanhead, Boghead Lawn etc, West Mains Farm, Whiteside Farm, Middle Boghead, Birnie Hill, Little Boghead, Bogside and plantations, giving acreages of arable, pasture, plantations, houses and roads. Line of [Airdrie and Bathgate ?] Railway added later. |
