Description |
'Plan of the lands of Bonington. The property of Sir John Lockhart Ross Bart.' By Thomas Johnston, surveyor. Scale missing. 771 x 578 mm on sheet 828 x 640 mm. Sheet damaged. Ink and colour wash. Compass rose. Relief in hachures. Watermark: 'Whatman'. Linen backing. Estate plan of the lands of Bonington, showing plots numbered 1-92, lying in Bonington, Boathaugh, Coblehaugh and Boathouses. The land is bounded by the farm of Hyndford, Harperfield, lands of Core House, Braxfield, town of Lanark and Carstairs. Noted are Bonington Linn, Corehouse Linn, River Clyde, Long Loch, Dowglas Road, Tillyfoord, [Marle Pills], woodland, roads, buildings, hills and paths. |
