Description |
1. 'Plan and sections of River Leven from Auchmoor Bridge to Firth of Forth'. By Alexander Martin, Cupar and Ebenezer Birrell, Dunfermline, surveyors. Lithographed by W & A K Johnston, Edinburgh. With updates to 1884.
[1:7900 and 1:240] 1 inch = 10 chains and 1 inch = 20 feet. 695 x 2715 mm. Hand coloured lithograph [published]. Linen backing. Wooden battens. Compass rose.
Plan and sections showing location of dams and mills. Estates and farms named. Lesslie House, Balgonie Castle and Milton noted. Mills named and numbered. Section showing vertical fall of river. Table of levels on river. Table of amendments made 4 July 1884. Notes referring to reports submitted 1828, 1833 and 1840. Note: 'Cupar 1st August 1884. This is Plan No. 4 referred to in my interlocutor of this date. Signed.'
