'Plan of the present manse of Bower, showing the proper repairs & alterations'. By R Forsyth.
1 1/16 inches = 10 feet. 378 x 486 mm. Ink and colour wash. Annotated in graphite. Linen backing.
Plans of ground, bedroom and attic floors and roof. Front elevation. Cross section of manse, section of kitchen with passage & scullery. Rooms named. Some measurements given. Note 1: 'Plan No 6 specified and approved of by this Presbytery of Caithness at Wick the 15th day of Oct 1846 (signed) Neil Maclean Mod[erato]r. W[illia]m Lillie P[res]by[tery] Clerk R.J.'. Note 2 (on reverse): 'At Thurso the Twentieth day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty seven years. This is one of the Plans referred to in the Minute of Agreement between the Heritors of the Parish of Bower and David Smith and Donald Duncan Masons in Thurso the contractors and their cautioners signed of this date (signed) John Sinclair. ...
