Compass rose. Plan of the roads near Gretna Green. Hand coloured to show River Sark and turnpike road from Glasgow to Carlisle. Springfield village, Headless Cross, Whinny Rig, Burrowsgate, Long Rig, Boghead, and Flushend shown. Toll house, bars, and church noted. Includes a vignette of a milestone - 'IX to Carlisle. LXXXVI to Glasgow'. |
