Description |
'Plan of the Estate of Wiseby lying in the Parish of Kirkpatrick Fleming and county of Dumfries'. By John Lewars, Dumfries, land surveyor. [1:4500] 1 inch = 5 Scottish chains. 500 x 980 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show farm boundaries including Dykehead, Cothouse, Turfrig, Graystones, Burnhead, Reidmyre and Gillshaws. Land use indicated - arable, improvable, meadow, moss and wood. Field boundaries with detailed description in table of contents. Adjoining landowner snamed. Compass rose. Note: 'Annan 8th September 1796 Referred to in our deposition of this date (signed) John Johnstone. And[rew] Currie. John Lewards. Geo[rge] Maxwell, Clerk/ Ja[mes] Thomson, Clerk'. |
