Description |
'Sketch of the present aspect of Carty Haugh, Oatsley Cleugh and grounds adjacent and roads through same'. By John Home, land surveyor. No scale [c 1:5000]. 495 x 696 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Plan, relating to the case between Major Ramsay & Robert Hill (which took place 1804-5), of lands adjacent to River North Esk coloured to show land use - arable, pasture and woodland. Clapperton's inn, Auchendinny House, Mains, Woodhouselee, Mains of Kirkettle and mills of Greenlaw and Kirkettle shown. Kiln, quarry, mill leads, dam, wells, bridges, ford, road and old castle of Woodhouselee noted. Part of Glencorse parish included. Names of adjacent lands. Table of references. Table of distances. |
