Description |
Plan of Improvements, including a Survey of the Estate of Barns, lying in the Parish of Manner and County of Peebles. The property of James Burnett, Esq'. Surveyed, designed and drawn by John Hay. [1:1800] 1 inch = 2 Scottish chains. 1830 x 1620 mm, split into three sheets each 610 x 1620 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into three sheets. Linen backing. Estate plan with boundaries coloured showing house, parks, gardens and fields with field-names and acreages given in detailed table of contents. Farm of Haswellsykes, Kirkton, church, manse, mill, quarry, old encampments, roads and part of River Tweed noted. Names of adjacent owners. Pictorial drawings of trees in forest. Compass rose. |
