Description |
'Plan of the glebe and manse of Polmont, as also the kirk and kirkyard, surveyed and delineated March 1st 1785 referring to an explanation and table of the contents upon a separate paper of this date'. By Joseph Udny.
1 inch = 2 chains. 277 x 355 mm. Ink.
Plan of glebe, manse, church and churchyard. Adjoining landowners named. Note 1: 'This is a measurement of extent of the glebe referred to in my report of the committee dated Polmont Nov 1st 1786. (signed) Geo Ellis'. Note 2 (on reverse): 'The within is the plan referred to in my Disposition of this date in favours of the new ... Douglas Duke of Hamilton and others for themselves and as trustees for the rest [of] the heritors of the Parish of Polmont and is surrounded by on as relative thereto ... Witness whereof I have subscribed This presents wrote by Archibald Gourl[ay] apprentice to Alexander Dukeson witness in Falkirk at Polmont the twenty ... day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty six years before these witnesses the said Alexander Dukeson and Archibald Gourlay.
