'Scroll plan of Humbie farm (Hopetoun Estate). 1843.' By James Horne, surveyor.
Scale: 1 inch = 3 [Imperial] chains. 122 x 88 cm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing.
Farm plan showing field boundaries. Field names and numbers. Farm steading noted. Humbie quarry. Names of adjacent lands. Note: 'This is the plan referrd to in the lease of the farm of Humbie entered into the date hereof betwixt The Right Honoursable John Alexander Earl of Hopetoun , on the one part, and George Dudgeon and Robert Dudgeon, on the other part... the twentyninth day of August eighteenhundred and fiftythree...' |
