Description |
'A Plan of Coldinghame Common moor taken for a division before the Court of Session'. By William Cockburn [1:6300] 1 inch = 8 Imperial chains. 1010 x 1470 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into two sheets. Linen backing. Division of commonty plan coloured to show scheme of division. Roads, moor and moss noted. Names of adjacent owners. Relief by hachures. References given. Decorative cartouche around title with cherub figures writing with quills. Compass rose. Note: 'Grinlaw 24th Octo[be]r 1765. This is the Plan and Survey of the Commonty and Common Muir of Coldinghame under Division To which my Oath This day emitted before James Lorain Esquire of Angelsaw One of the Commissioners appointed by the Court of Session docs referr [sic] (signed) Will Cockburn.
