Description |
'Plan of Castlecary estate in the parish of Cumbernauld and county of Stirling.' By Francis Hall, surveyor. [1: 2700] 1 inch = 3 Scots chains. 949 x 1456 mm. Ink and colour wash. Annotations in ink and graphite. Compass rose. Previously edgebound. Linen backing. Estate plan showing names and acreages of fields, roads, buildings,bridges, forestry and woodland, lochans, Bonny River, Forth Clyde Canal, and boundaries with Cumbernauld Estate, Dr Rennie's property, Crawbank Estate, Hamilton's property, Tarbethill Estate, Lochgreen Estate and Underwood Estate. Table of contents listing acreage according to land use of the following: Hill Farm, canal and banks, Wood Oak Pendicle, Bandominie Farm, Bent Gate Farm, Habbies Walls Farm, Walton Farm, Hills Farm, Hewn Stane Farm, Scarmuir Farm, Rash Bush Farm, Fachinsheilrig Farm and road from Castlecary Farm march to south march. Annotations show the proposed route of railway lines through Marshall's Muir, Wall's Croft, Court Hill Wood, Longbeth Park, Lady's Park, and Castlecary . |
