Description 'Plan of a Building for the Register Offices in Scotland. To the Right Honourable James Earl of Morton Lord Register of Scotland and President of the Royal Society, This Engraving from his Lorship's elegant Design in Inscribed by His Lordship's Most Obedient and Devoted hum'ble Servant Rob't Baldwin, Architect.' By Robert Baldwin, architect. Earl of Morton 'excogitavit', 1762. R Baldwin, engraver.
3/4 inch = 10 feet. 369 x 514 mm.
Ground floor plan giving uses of rooms. 'Published according to Act of Parliament, March 26th 1767. Note: 'No timber to be employed in any part of this Edifice. Every Chamber is to be enclosed with four Stone Walls and all Doors are to be of Cast Iron.' Engraving.
