'Excerpt from a plan of the road from Glasgow to Carlisle docqueted in reference to an Act of Parliament passed in the year 1816 entitled 'an act for improving the road from the city of Glasgow to the city of Carlisle'.' Unattributed. Lithographers: Robertson & Ballantine, Edinburgh. July 1824. 1 inch = 4 furlongs. 440 x 555 mm. Lithograph. Hand coloured to show line of roads. Linen backing. Reduced (1/2 size) plan of the road from Glasgow to Hamilton. Route through Camlachie, Parkhead, Toll cross, Broomhouse toll, Uddiston, and Bothwell shown. Barony parish, Bothwell parish, and Monkland parish shown. Intersections of road with River Clyde noted. |
