Description |
'Copy plan of Estate of Duddingston'. By [T] Carfrae. [1:4500] 1 inch = 5 [Scots] chains. 545 x 728 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Estate plan coloured to show land use - arable, pasture, parkland, plantations and gardens. Some field-names and acreages given. Buildings shown include Duddingston House, Butlaw, Banks, Crawstone, Totleywells, Lawflat, Woodend, and Parkhead and Newton villages. Limekilns, old mill, old quarry, roads, paths and milestones noted. Table of contents giving acreages of arable, waste, roads and plantations. Produced as relative to entail of parts of estate of Duddingston by the Right Hon John Alexander, Earl of Hopetoun, 1849. |
