Description |
Plan of the village of Milngavie with sundry adjoining pendicles, the property of James Glassford of Dougalston. By David Smith, surveyor, Glasgow.
[1:1344] 1 inch = 1.5 Scots chains. 1490 x 923 mm. Ink and colour wash. Relief in grey wash. Compass rose. Linen backing.
Plan of Milngavie and surrounding area belonging to James Glassford of Dougalston showing properties marked a-z, A-Z and numbered; land use such as arable or pasture; bodies of water including Allander Water, reservoir, Dougalston Loch and ponds; quarries, mills, bleaching works, buildings, roads, dams and gardens. The boundaries with surrounding lands are noted viz: Dougalston Pleasure Ground, lands of Kayston and Corbyhill, property of [-] Douglas Esq., of Mains; lands of Clobar, property of James Glassford, Esq. and of Alexander Dunlop, Esq.; lands of Drumclog, property of Duke of Montrose; lands of Brackenhirst, property of James Douglas, Esq.; lands of Barloch, property of John Douglas, Esq.; and Dovecot Park.
