Description |
'A plan of Broomhills Common divided conform to the commissioner's interlocutor'. By John Tait, land measurer, Lockerbie. [1:3600] 1 inch = 4 Scottish chains. 890 x 640 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Commonty plan with boundaries of scheme of division coloured. Roads and ownership of adjacent lands noted. Relief by brushed grey hachures. Table of contents showing acreages, valuations and scheme of divisios. Title within single-line scroll-work. Note: 'Dumfries 16 July 1766. This is the plan of Broomhill commonty made by one John Tait Land measured at Lockerbie and referred to in my oath ... of this date before John Goldie of Craigmuir Esquire of the Commissioners for Dividing the said Commonty.
