Description |
'Plan shewing portion of Newark estate in the parish of Port Glasgow with reference to case of murder committed on Devol Farm on 3rd February 1885.' Surveyed by Thomas McClelland, 25 Bank Street, Greenock. [1:240] 1 inch = 200 feet. 650 x 990 mm. Ink and colourwash. Annotated in ink. Relief by hachures. Compass rose. Plan of estate showing roads, railway lines, buildings, field boundaries, wooded areas, and reservoirs and streams. Detail is concentrated around the fields and cricket park at Devol Farm where the bodies of Fyfe and McCaughtrie's bodies were found. Table of reference identifies locations of victims, suspects and witnesses. |
