'Plan of the lands of Over Airies ... belonging to Stair Hathorn, Esq, showing the division of the estate between Robert vans Agnew, Esq, and the Earl of Stair in conformity with the decreet Arbitral'. Copied from original plan of Colin Christison by J Henderson, Edinburgh. [1:3200] 1 in = 4 Imperial chains 94 x 62 cm Plan of Airies Farm and Airies Mill lands, coloured to show the division between Robert Vans Agnew and the Earl of Stair. Fields numbered to correspond with table of contents, field names, steadings with gardens, cot houses, (water) mill, mill lead and dam, dainage ditches, streams, Dowalton Loch, plantations, moss and roads noted. Adjacent lands and proprietors named, the latter being Sir William Maxwell, Earl of Stair, Earl of Galloway and Robert Vans Agnew. Notes dated 1855 concerning a Decreet Arbitral signed by James Horne and John Dickson. |
