'Draught of the River Nith from Dumfries to Carsehorn'. Unattributed. [1:17,600] No scale. 802 x 532, on sheet 824 x 565 mm. Ink and colour wash. Annotated in graphite. Linen backing. River plan showing how far vessels proceeded before unloading. Sandbanks and channels coloured. Glencaple quay, Kelton Scar, Laghall, Lower and Upper Kingholm, town quarry, Glover's sandpits and outline of Dumfries noted. Inset enlarged plan of Dumfries showing old and new bridges, waulk mill, mills, shortridges and infirmary. Part of Caerlaverock parish included. |
