'Plan of the Farms of Baillie Whir and Corwar Outton exhibiting the new march through these farms betwixt the Earl of Galloway and Capt John Hathorne as pitted upon the ground anno 178[?]'. [By William Dunbar.] [1:3600] 1 in = 4 Scottish chains 103 x 71 cm Plan of the farms of Bailliewhirr and Outon Corwar coloured to show each farm with enclosures numbered to correspond with table of contents which gives land use or name. The share of each farm owned by Lord galloway and Captain Hathorn is noted on plan by line joining several 'pits', and in table giving detailed scheme of division. Steadings, cottages, roads and mosses noted. Relief by brush wash. Adjacent lands and proprietors named including Earl of Galloway, Captain John Hathorn, James Murray of Broughton and Sir Stair Agnew. Endorsed twice in 1795 in reference to division of farms. |
