'A plan of Cascreugh in the Parish of Oldluce shire of Galloway belonging to The Right Honourable Earl of Stair'. By William Dunbar. [1:4500] 1 in = 5 Scottish chains. 754 x 1021 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Plan of runrig lands coloured to show boundaries of areas named to correspond with table of contents which gives land use under headings arable, meadow, moss and moor, improveable pasture, deep moss, wood and water. Land use types, steading, kill croft, roads, bridges, woodland, and streams noted. Relief by brush wash. Adjacent lands named. Multiple scale. Vignette of animals, trees, tools etc. |
