Composite town plan, plan of properties and section of walls. By William Mathison, surveyor. No lithographer.
Multiple scales. 568 x 440 mm. Lithograph. Hand coloured. Compass rose.
Plans and section produced in causa Stewart or Spence against Cromarty or Loutit.
1. 'No. 1 A plan of that part of the Borough of Kirkwall lying between the head of the Broad Street and Mr Robert Nicolson's property at the heart of the town, with the roads of approach on the south, west and northwest.'
[1:1580] 1 inch = 1.78 Scots chains.
Town plan showing properties and their owners, toads, the Oyse or Little Sea, Little Crofty, slaughterhouse and quarry. The properties of John Cromarty and Mr D Spence are highlighted in colour.
2. 'No.2 Plan of the properties of Mr David Spence & of Mr John Cromarty, & his sister's with the lane or footpath between them.'
