'A sketch of the long yards of Kirkwall'. By William Matheson, surveyor. [1:3600] 1 inch = 30 feet. 362 x 351 mm on sheet 385 x 365 mm. Ink and colour wash. Annotated in graphite. Compass rose. Street plan showing the properties of Messieurs Erskine, Wall, Traill, Cuming, Garrioch, Laughton, Cromarty, Fraser and Spence and of Miss Cuming, Margaret and Helen Cromarty between the street and Little Sea (Peerie Sea) marking out walls and openings in the walls, a stile and footpaths. Noted are dates some properties were built. Table of reference. |
