Description |
(On reverse) 'Plan produced by the Division in the Process Farquhar & Dickson'. By Thomas Allan. [1:2700] 1 inch = 2 Scots chains. 338 x 748 mm. Ink and colour wash. Plan of march between Restenneth and Parks of Pitscandly. Measurements given. Land taken marked with acreages and owners names given. Explanation: 'The Black line shaded with China Ink from A to B is the boundary wherein the new march stones are placed anno 1799 from 1, 2, 3, 4, to 6 is the track for carrying water to the mill of Rescobbie cutt by David Dickson in 1788; [sic]. Note 1: 'This Plan was measured and drawn from a scale of two scots chains in the inch by Tho[ma]s Allan June 1790'. Note 2: 'IReviewed this Plan for Tho[ma]s Allan Land Surveyor drawn by him this year seventeen hundred and ninety (signed) To Farquhar'. |
