'Old and New Aberdeen together with the nearest adjacent places and parts of the Rivers Dee and Don, copied from an original plan by William Wood'. [1:168,600] 1 in = 3 Scottish miles 29 x 30 cm Plan endorsed 'I have compared the copy ... with the original ... and find it to be very accurate. The title given toit is improper as it contains no plan of the two towns, which forms the principal part of the original being a copy of only a small detached map of the Territory or Freedom of New Aberdeen ... Pat Copland, Marischal College, March 22nd 1800'. Plan is a copy of part of 'Straloch's Plan' noting rivers, churches, mills and farms. |
