'King- Edward showing the boundaries of the proposed quoad sacra parish of New-Blyth. Drawn at Fishrie School'. [1:74,000] 1 in = approx 1.25 miles 58 x 43 cm Plan of the proposed quoad sacra parish of New Blyth coloured to show the sections coming from the parishes of King Edward, New Deer and Aberdour. Population from 1861 census of section from King Edward parish; towns of Banff, Macduff, Castletoun, Turriff, Cuminestone, Garmond, Newbyth, new Deer, New Pitsligo and Aberdour, houses of Montcoffer, Dunlugas and Forglen, farms, Mill of Pitgair, manse, roads, rivers and coastline noted. Endorsed twice in 1866 on 31 July and 28 August in Turriff and Strichen respectively approving the boundaries proposed. Signed by Gavin Lang, Moderator of the Presbytery of Turriff, and the clerk John Mill, and by Charles Stewart, Moderator of the Presbytery of Deer, and the Clerk Alex Irvine. |
