Description |
'Plan of Mauldsly and Rose Bank'. By William Kempt, surveyor. [1: 1800] 1 inch = 2 Scots chains. 1281 x 814 mm. Ink and colour wash. Annotated in graphite. Compass rose. Linen backing. Edgebound. Plan of lands of Mauldslie and Rosebank showing field names and sizes, boundaries with the River Clyde, Lands of Brownlee, Lands of Coltness and Bonington. Noted are woodlands, roads, buildings and waterways. Abstract of contents notes the names of farms, acreages of arable, pasture and planting, and total acreages in Scots and Imperial measures. Farms listed are: Lawmuir Colliery, Lawmuir Farm, Gillhead Mill Farm, Gillhead Farm, Birk Farm, Frostholes Farm, Brakenhill Farm, Waterlands Farm, Strathven House Farm, Lawhill Farm, South Farm, East Farm and Rosebank Garden. |
