Description |
'Plan of Anstruther Union Harbour showing proposed wet dock'. By D & T Stevenson, civil engineers, Edinburgh [1:960] 1 inch = 80 feet 823 x 602 mm on 887 x 654 mm. Ink and colour wash. Compass roses. Linen backing. Plan showing proposed wet dock and breakwater. Partially built east pier, channel to be excavated to the proposed wet dock, existing piers and quays, old and new harbours, rocks, sands, beacon, soundings at new harbour entrance and part of Anstruther Easter village noted. Coloured. Cross-sections of east and west walls of the dock and the breakwatershowing dimensions, mode of conatruction, and low and high water marks at spring tides, at scale 1:120. Longitudinal-section of channel to be excavated showing datum line, and high and low water at spring tides at 1:480. Inset showing positionof harbour in relation to the villages of Easter and Wester Anstruther at 1:18,800. Endorsed by C Cecil Trevo on behalf of the Board of Trade approving of the new works shown on plan. |
