Description |
'Plan of Eyemouth harbour, which Accompanied Engineer's Report of 13 November 1882'. By Thomas Meil & Sons, Civil Engineers, Edinburgh. Lithographer: Banks & Co. Ltd. [1:2500] 1 in = 210 ft 680 x 540 mm. Partially coloured. Plan showing proposed new quays, jetty, piers and protecting piers. Soundings in outer harbour and amount of deepening needed in channel and inner harbour in feet below low water at ordinary spring tides. Proposed extension of harbour at mouth of River Eye, weir, old piers, beaching basins, rocks, coastal features, high and low water marks at ordinary spring tides, village of Eyemouth, church, Eyemouth Fort, Northburn Mill, Brown's Bank, Gunsgreen, roads and field boundaries noted. |
