31. 'Plan of the farms of Burnfoot and Windylaws, the property of John Paterson'. By Thomas Johnston
[1:3600] 1 in = 4 Scottish chains 63 x 43 cm
Plan of the infield-outfield lands of Windylaws and Burnfoot farms, and Windylaws and Milkieston Common. Common divided into numbered sections to correspond with a separate table of contents (RHP4194/2) which also gives the number of sheep grazed by Windylaw and Burnfoot, Milkieston, and Mansland and Burnhead and the acreage given to each in the division. Steadings, yards, roads, burns, wells and 'camps' noted. Relief by hachures. Adjacent lands named. Endorsed 'Cringletie 26th October 1813. This is the Plan in the process of Division before the Sheriff of Peebles referred to in my deposition of this date. Geo. Buchanan and J. Wolfe Murray, Comr.'
