No title [1:1800] 1 in = 2.3 Imperial chains 150 x 56 cm Plan of the workings at Polton and Dalhousie Colliery showing the lower lines of rough diamond, splint and jewel coal workings, probable line of Eldin level, and the supposed crops of the jewel, splint and rough coal. Engine pits, numbered with depths given, gin pit, Hopefield farm, Bonnyrigg village, houses and roads noted. Coloured. Geological section of No 3 pit coloured to show great, rough diamond coal, splint, parrot rough and jewel coal waste seams [scale1:120]. Section of bottom of pit [scale 1:48] and a bird's eye view of the bottom. Part of Lasswade parish included. |
