Description |
'Sketch of Linton Common'. By William Dickinson, land surveyor in Linton. [1:2700] 1 inch = 3 Scottish chains 338 x 746 mm. Ink and colourwash. Annotated in ink. Linen backing. Plan of the scheme of division showing sixteen sections which are numbered to correspond with a table of contents, and the allotments awarded to proprietors including George Rennie, Robert Brown, Sir Alexander Kinloch, Baron Hepburn and about twenty-six lesser heritors. Roads and cottages noted. Adjacent propertietors named including Robert Baird, baron hepburn, General Hope and Sir Alexander Kinloch. Endorsed 'Haddington 25th June 1807. This is the plan and measurement of the Common of Linton referred to in the Deposition of William Dickinson, Land Surveyor, in Linton of this date. William Dickinson, Alex. Low and Arch. Todrich.' |
