Description |
'Rude draught of Mundole Commonty'. By Georgr Brown.
[1:5400] 1 in = 6 Scottish chains. 380 x 520 mm.
Division of commonty plan coloured to show various boundaries, only a few of which are explained. Acreages are given of numbered sections and comments on vegetation and terrain. Arable lands and steadings of the adjacent farms of Balnaferry, Knockomie, Whiterow, Mundole, Cothall and Old Town and Newtoun of Blairs, Kirktown, village of Balnageith, individual farms with tenant's or owner's name, lime kilns, mills and mill lead, gravel bank, wells, dykes, plantations, roads, river and lochs noted. Relief by hachures. Adjacent lands and proprietors named including Earl of Moray and the town of Forres. Notes concerning two small areas. Engraved. Another copy - RHP4005. |
