Description |
'General plan of roads connected with the process Sir George Clerk and David Dickson v Sir George Montgomerie'. By Grainger & Miller. [1:7900] 1 inch = 10 [Imperial] chains. 536 x 753 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Plan coloured to show the various roads from Harlaw Muir farmhouse to Linton, claimed by Sir George Clerk and Sir George Montgomery. Farms of Deanfoot, Nether Whitfield, Deepsykehead, Stell, Harlawmuir, Harbour Craig, Carlops Muir, South Mains, Carpet, Hartside, West Mains, Fairslacks and Leadlaw, limestone quarry, freestone quarry, coal pits and workings, colliers' houses, land on moor which was once tilled, turnpike road, ditches, streams and boundary between Sir George Clerk and Sir George Montgomery noted. Relief by brush wash. Note of explanation and distances of alternative routes. |
