Description |
'Plan of part of Moss Flanders. Surveyed Sept 1809 and additions May 1811'. By John Lauder [1:3200] 1 in = 4 [Imperial] chains 92 x 113 cm Plan of part of Flanders Moss, Mime and Frew Moss showing moss, clayed moss, moss from which the peat has been removed and adjacent arable lands. All adjacent farms given with names of the tenant and proprietor including the Earl of Moray, Mr Graham of Gartmore, Mr Forrester of Polder, Dr Moir and the laird of Blairdrummond, but only part of the arable lands of the farms of East and West Moss-side, King's Boquhapple now Moss-side of Boquhapple, Goodiebank (Millaguddy), Myme and Littleward noted. At edge of peat moss names of those with right to cut peat given. Drains, float ditches, rivers, roads, steadings, and Mill of Goodie noted. Coloured to show boundaries of proprietors' lands. |
