Description |
'A book containing plans of the lands and lordship of Abernethy, heretably belonging to James Grant Esq of Grant,. On each sheet of which one or more of the farms are laid down according to their situation and contiguity; with the contents of the arable lands, and grass ground of eacg separately. Together with an abstract of the contents of the whole parish. Made out from accurate surveys taken 1772 by George Taylor. Inverness, Jany 1773. By George Taylor, land surveyor, Inverness. 563 x 470 x 28 mm. Coloured. Modern buckram binding. The volume contains thirty-two plans of farms. Common elements of the plans include infield-outfield lands with acreages and annotations relating to soil fertility and vegetation, with some fields named. Steadings, gardens, roads and rivers noted. Adjacent lands and proprietors noted. Table of contents. Relief by brush wash. Coloured. For other details of the plans see below. |
