'Plan of the lands of New Bogside'. By P Sturrick, Kilmarnock.
[1:900] 1 in = 1 Scottish chain. 1032 x 725 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing.
Mining plan coloured to show stoop and room workings in Major and Tourha Seams, 1840-1848. Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and Old Tourha Pits shown. Position of face at various dates, waste, levels, drawing road, slip and whin dykes shown. Kilmarnock and Troon railway, private line to No 1 Pit, turnpike and Cochrane inn noted. |
