Description |
'Reduced plan of the the Common of Bein-na-chie lying in the parishes of Chapel of Garioch, Oyne & Premnay and county of Aberdeen'. By Alexander Smith, surveyor and Maclure and Macdonald, lithographers, Glasgow. [1:14,300] 1 inch = 18 imperial chains 600 x 470 mm. Lithograph. Hand coloured in ink. Compass rose. Linen backing. Plan of the common of Bennachie, with coloured boundary, showing relief and drainage by use of layer colouring and hachuring. Bede House, gravel pit, old market road, march dyke, piece of ground taken off by agreement in 1846, Bogend and Glentouns farms noted. Adjacent lands named, and four names written alongside cottages: William Cummings, James Morrison, John Milne and William Benzie. Total contents given. Note signed by James F Beattie, Aberdeen, 14 December 1854, referring to the use of this plan in the Court of Session. |
