Description |
'Plan of the north end of Mouse-Wald Common conform to proof taken April 1764'. By [-] Tait. Engraved by A Bell. [1:5000] 1 inch = 5.5 Scottish chains. 273 x 438 mm. Engraving. Linen backing. Plan of Mousewald Common from Rammerscales (Ramerskails) to the road fron Dalton to Dumfries. Goukthorn House, Todhill Moss and Rig, Jinking Brae, Beally and Great Hill, Lang Moss, Herd Hill Dam, Bluntsfield and Parson's Dyke noted. Adjacent lands and owners named including John Carruthers [of Holmains] and Sir Robert Grierson. No division shown. Relief by hachuring. Note says that common stretches to the southward a great way but not being necessary to the points in question is drawn no farther. |
