Description |
'Plan of the Estate of Fordel the property of Sir John Henderson, Bart, surveyed spring 1796'. By William Bell and Robert Reid, land surveyors in Edinburgh. [1:3600] 1 inch = 4 Scottish chains. 2512 x 1118 mm. Ink and colour wash. Linen backing. Detailed estate plan showing Fordell House, policies, parks and farms including Seafield, Letham, Clinkhill, Fordell, Damleys, Drummullion, Broomieside, Heather 'Mount', Coalton Bank, Wards, Drumcooper, Piper-sink, and Crossgates in Dalgety parish; Pitadro Mill and Bank, Borthwick, Bullstones, The Quaw, and Brunthill in Inverkeithing parish. Fields numbered to correspond with separate tables of contents giving field-names, acreages, and land use by farms - RHP3813. Steadings with gardens, roads, watermills, coal sinks, plantations and mos noted. Adjacent lands and proprietors to the east including Earl of Moray, Earl of Morton, and Mr Wemyss named. Relief by brush wash with hachures. Multiple scale. |
