'Plan of the estate of Glencarvy. 'By George Stephen (1825), by Alexander Smith (1865 & 1866), Aberdeen. Lithographed by Taylor and Henderson, Aberdeen. [1:7100] 1 in = 9 Imperial chains 56 x 119 cm This plan also carries a second title, 'Plan of the estate of Candacraig, in the parish of Tarland (Glen Ernan was formerly a detached portion of Tarland and Migvie parish), reduced from the original plan made by George Stephen, 1825, by Alexander Smith, 1865.' Estate plan of lands of Candacraig and Glen Carvie extending southwards from Breagach Hill to Mona Gowan. Acreages of fields given. Mansion house, steading, common grazings, march stones, cot house, deer dyke, shieling and roads noted. Adjacent lands named including commonty of Bunzeach. Inset view of Candacraig House from south east. Relief by fine hachures. |
